Gypsy Caravan Tribal Belly Dance Teacher Training Program
This intensive Gypsy Caravan Tribal Belly Dance Teacher Training Program has been developed over many
years of my intensive dance teaching, studying, and performing. My methods have proven to be quite
effective in teaching this style, with an organized and logically structured format, while still bringing the “fun” factor into the dance classes.
This intensive teacher-training course will introduce you to my concepts of how to teach Gypsy
Caravan Style Tribal Bellydance. I will give you the movements, language, structure, and business skills, broken down into sessions pertaining to skill levels, to
so that you may begin to teach Tribal Bellydance the Gypsy Caravan way.
Using my dance form, Gypsy Caravan dance training stands for fun, artistic expression and
creativity, physical strength and flexibility for all ages. We believe in dancing safely, and purely for the joy of the dance. This is a dance for everyone no matter what age or size. As women, it is an intuitive dance, coming from deep inside our wombs, our collective unconscious. We dance with historical knowledge but knowing that our dance is relevant to our contemporary lives. We dance because we have to, but most importantly, we dance for fun!
Prerequisites for Attending
What do you need for this course? You should have five years of dance training, preferably tribal bellydance. You must be familiar with both the Gypsy Caravan’s style of dance and music as well
as Paulette’s Tribal Technique #1 & #2 videos. You need to submit three letters of recommendation–one from your dance teacher, and two from an employer, a student or fellow dancer, stating why they think you would make a good teacher, along with a bio/resume. I will need a letter from you describing your dance background, stating your desires in undertaking this training and what you want to achieve. I need to know that you are serious about this dance. Please list your strengths and weaknesses as a dancer, and why you would make a good dance teacher. Please be aware that this is not a writing test! I want to understand what you wish to accomplish.
In general, I recommend studying with as many teachers as possible, but for this program we will focus on my style and methods only. You must have a strong desire to dance and teach with a commitment to yourself and me that you will continue to train and acquire dance skills, maintain your physical health, and be ethical in your art and business practices.

Teacher Training Level One—Beginning Level One/Two 

This thorough, intensive program in Tribal Style Bellydance is designed to give you the beginning dance skills, language, and technique to benefit you in your teaching methods as well as your own dance. You will gain insight into refining your teaching techniques in addition to developing Paulette's tribal dance style, class format, curriculum, and business applications. In most cases, you will be able to work and dance alongside other students and teachers in training, which is highly beneficial. 
 You will be tested at the end of the session, and must pass to be certified. This ensures that your skill level and knowledge are satisfactory. You will then be certified by Paulette stating that you have successfully completed Basic Teacher Training Levels One and Two.
The program will cover:
- History of Tribal Belly Dance
- Paulette's teaching philosophy
- Body awareness and warm-up exercises
- Development and personal critique of dance technique and skills
- Development of teaching format, class structure, and dance curriculum
- Business applications
- Teacher Training Manual- copyrighted and for your own personal use only
Cost $900.00

Teacher Training Level Two – for Intermediate Level One Tribal
Attend three five-hour private sessions with Paulette, which will cover:
Further development of teaching format, class structuring, curriculum, business applications
Teaching new steps and combinations
Development and critique of personal dance technique and how to work with students in critiquing and developing their dance
Continuation of rhythm study and zil patterns
Music interpretation and dance styling
Body awareness, strength building, and continuation of warm-up exercises
A practical test will be given at completion of the workshop.
